Project Manager Gas Treatment Plants

Project overview

The scope of services focuses in particular on the following tasks and activities:

 Independent project management and control of several CAPEX projects in the area of gas treatment plants from technical planning to commissioning.

 Coordination and control of engineering activities as well as coordination of technical interfaces with internal specialist departments and external project participants.

 Creation and updating of technical specifications, inquiry documents, and service descriptions for engineering, supply, and assembly services.

 Technical review and evaluation of offers as well as support for project purchasing in awarding processes and supplier coordination.

 Tracking of deadlines, costs, and progress of the supervised projects as well as coordination of the commissioned suppliers, including quality control of the services rendered.

 Preparation, coordination, and support of the implementation, commissioning, and technical handover of the plants, including ongoing documentation and reporting.

Requirements

Professional Qualification and Professional Experience

 Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, or comparable technical qualification

 Min. 10 years of professional experience in the management and execution of projects in industrial plant construction

 Several years of experience in the planning, modernization, and optimization of industrial gas treatment plants (e.g., dry sorbent injection filters, bag filters, or wet electrostatic precipitators)

 Experience in controlling engineering activities as well as in coordinating suppliers and project participants

Project Experience / Industry and Environmental Knowledge

 Several years of experience with CAPEX projects in the field of industrial gas treatment plants

 Sound understanding of metallurgical production processes as well as industrial gas treatment and exhaust air systems in the non-ferrous metal industry

 Proven leadership or significant involvement in at least two projects in an industrial brownfield environment

Methods, Tools, and Language Skills

 Confident use of MS Office applications

 Application of common project management methods and tools for controlling deadlines, costs, progress, and interfaces

 Structured communication with internal and external stakeholders

 Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
