We are looking for an experienced Project Manager in Information Security and Security Governance to manage and implement complex transformation measures in a security-critical IT environment. The role involves planning, controlling, and executing projects, analyzing and developing security organizations, and coordinating regulatory requirements.
Project overview
For one of our major clients, we are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager (m/f/d) in the field of Information Security and Security Governance to manage and implement complex transformation measures in a security-critical IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Independent planning, control, and implementation of transformation projects in the area of Information Security and Security Governance
- Creation and maintenance of project, schedule, action, and resource plans, as well as management of risks, dependencies, and escalations
- Analysis and further development of existing security organizations regarding roles, responsibilities, processes, and governance structures
- Creation, further development, and implementation of security concepts as well as organizational and technical security requirements
- Coordination of regulatory requirements, protection needs assessments, and security-related evidence
- Definition and coordination of security, release, and handover criteria, as well as ensuring the transfer to regular operations
- Creation of status reports, management presentations, and decision proposals, as well as conducting workshops and steering meetings
- Close collaboration with IT architecture, operations, data protection, compliance, security officers, and other stakeholders

- Several years of experience in project management of complex IT or transformation projects with a focus on information security, protection of classified information, or security-critical IT
- Sound knowledge in information security, security governance, and security concepts
- Experience with regulatory requirements, protection needs assessments, and security-related evidence management
- Demonstrable experience in managing organizational changes and transformation initiatives
- Very good knowledge of risk, quality, action, and stakeholder management
- Strong communication and moderation skills, as well as a confident demeanor at management level
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented way of working
- Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
- Experience with BSI IT-Grundschutz, protection of classified information, and IT environments related to VS-NfD (Vertrauliche Verschlusssache
