Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Python Developer (m/f/d) with a focus on logfile analysis / MOCVD for consulting services in the project, starting immediately:

• Analysis and further development of the existing Python codebase
• Processing and evaluation of log files from MOCVD systems
• Implementation of calculation logics for selected process steps/layers
• Ensuring performant data processing
• Independent implementation of complex features and further developments within the existing application
• Analysis and resolution of complex error patterns as well as sustainable stabilization of the existing codebase
• Taking over technical responsibility for critical work packages and open tickets in the project
• Assessment of technical impacts of changes within the existing system landscape
• Further development of the GUI (HTML-based with NiceGUI)
• Implementation of functions for selecting runs and process steps
• Integration of evaluations and visualizations into the interface
• Independent implementation of new requirements, considering functional and technical contexts
• Consulting on client/server architecture
• Ensuring clean interfaces between GUI and backend
• Optimization of the existing structure and code quality
• Support in the technical conception and implementation of more complex requirements
• Identification and implementation of optimization potentials within the existing system architecture
• Ensuring a long-term maintainable and stable solution architecture
• Documentation of developed components
• Coordination with internal contact persons (remote)
• Use of modern development support (e.g., AI tools)
• Close collaboration with subject matter experts for gathering and implementing functional requirements
• Quick familiarization with the domain as well as the technical and functional contexts of the MOCVD systems
• Active participation in achieving project-critical milestones and delivery dates
• Independent processing and prioritization of tasks in a small, agile development team

Requirements

Qualifications (Must-have)

• Several years of professional experience as a Senior Python Developer in productive corporate and project environments
• Profound experience in the analysis, further development, stabilization, and optimization of existing Python codebases
• Demonstrable experience in handling complex, grown software landscapes and legacy code
• Experience in the independent implementation of complex features and technical requirements
• Very good knowledge in error analysis, debugging, and sustainable resolution of complex problems
• Experience with data processing, data analysis, and ideally logfile analysis
• Good knowledge in the development of web and GUI applications (ideally NiceGUI or comparable frameworks)
• Profound understanding of client-server architectures as well as modern software architecture
• Experience in technical conception, evaluation, and implementation of complex requirements
• Ability to independently assess and implement technical impacts of changes within existing system landscapes
• Experience in technical, industrial, or production-related environments
• Ability to quickly familiarize oneself with new subject domains, processes, and technical contexts
• Understanding of plant, production, or process environments is an advantage
• Experience in collaborating with business departments and technical experts
• High degree of independence, assumption of responsibility, and solution orientation
• Ability to technically and functionally penetrate complex tasks and implement them independently
• Structured way of working as well as high quality standards regarding maintainability, stability, and code quality
• Experience in small development teams with high personal responsibility
• Ability to independently take over and drive forward critical work packages and important project milestones

• Experience in the semiconductor environment or with MOCVD systems
• Experience with technical analysis, monitoring, or evaluation systems
• Knowledge in the area of performance optimization and processing of large amounts of data
• Experience with scientific or data-driven software solutions
• Experience with AI-supported development tools such as Windsurf, Devin, or GitHub Copilot
• Knowledge in the area of data visualization and technical reporting solutions
• Experience in taking over or stabilizing existing projects in critical project phases
