For a long-term project in the maritime sector, we are looking for an experienced freelancer as a QHSE Construction Manager or QHSE Specialist in shipbuilding. The project includes the planning, monitoring, and implementation of Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards in steel construction, as well as the coordination of all relevant processes in shipbuilding. The activity takes place in Northwest Germany with occasional remote elements. The position is full-time and spans a period of 12 months.

• Development and implementation of QHSE concepts for shipbuilding, particularly in the area of steel construction
• Execution of quality controls and inspections during the entire construction process
• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with legal and company-internal QHSE requirements
• Coordination and management of subcontractors and internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality construction execution
• Creation and maintenance of documentation, reports, and protocols on QHSE-relevant topics
• Identification and assessment of risks in safety and environmental areas, as well as development of preventive measures
• Proven experience in shipbuilding, especially with a focus on steel construction and QHSE standards
• Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, Quality Management, or comparable qualification
• Sound knowledge of relevant standards and guidelines (e.g., DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 or future ISO 45001)
• Experience in managing QHSE processes and in conducting audits and inspections
• Analytical skills and structured approach to problem-solving in complex project environments
• Teamwork skills, resilience, and high initiative
