• You ensure quality assurance by operationalizing the test strategy and work closely with the involved teams in an agile environment.
• You plan, design, and implement test activities, test scenarios, and load and performance tests for web applications for timetable construction.
• You analyze requirements, derive test cases from them, and support the creation and provision of test data.
• You document test results, deviations, and relevant findings, and derive release recommendations from them.
• You monitor, evaluate, and analyze test results to continuously develop tests regarding coverage, quality, and performance.
• You participate in test automation and develop and optimize test automation approaches for integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• You build and operate automated test environments for scalable performance scenarios in coordination with other teams.
• You conduct automated load and performance tests in a distributed microservice architecture with current tools.
• You analyze and optimize systems at the performance level, focusing on monitoring, testing, and improving load behavior.
• You further develop existing automation frameworks and tools and identify errors and optimization potential.
• You advise other teams on the evaluation of results and the improvement of test processes.
• Required:
• Successfully completed degree in computer science, natural sciences, or engineering, or comparable knowledge.
• Several years of demonstrable experience as a software developer or test automation engineer, as well as in creating functional test cases.
• Certification according to ISTQB Foundation Level or a comparable qualification.
• Experience in the environment of large projects.
• Experience in the cloud and microservice environment.
• Several years of proven experience in agile projects.
• Several years of experience in the areas of test automation as well as continuous integration and continuous deployment.
• Experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Good knowledge of at least one current tool for determining system performance, such as Grafana K6 or JMeter.
• Good understanding of basic concepts such as Load Testing, Stress Testing, and Performance Testing.
• Experience with Postman and comparable API testing tools, ideally Thunder Client.
• Good knowledge of at least one scripting language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.
• Experience using AI-supported tools such as GitHub Copilot or comparable AI assistants.
• Several years of experience in testing along the test pyramid for complex workflows.
• Solution-oriented, independent, and analytical way of working, as well as the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex issues.
• Ability to integrate into existing teams and project structures.
• Cooperative working style, consulting competence, teamwork, and assertiveness.
• Willingness to learn and apply new technologies, tools, and frameworks.
• Desired:
• Sound knowledge of the software development process, ideally in Scrum or SAFe.
• Knowledge and experience in handling JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of handling GitLab.
• Experience with Consumer-Driven Contracts.
• Experience in analyses with current monitoring and logging tools.
• Good English skills, spoken and written.
• Good German skills, spoken and written (min. C1).
