RCP/RAP Expert Remote 6M++

Project overview

Dear Freelancers,

We are looking for an RCP/RAP expert (m/f/d) for a client for the following project:

Responsibilities

• You analyze and fix bugs in the Eclipse RAP environment and ensure sustainable, reliable solutions.
• You selectively further develop our existing UI framework and drive its modernization and updating.
• You familiarize yourself with complex, established Java applications and extensive legacy codebases to understand and specifically optimize existing structures.
• You further develop existing systems, taking backward compatibility into account, and ensure stable operation.
• You analyze the performance of our Java applications in client-server environments and identify optimization potential using suitable profiling methods.
• You implement sound software architecture concepts and design patterns to create maintainable and future-proof solutions.
• You work independently on complex technical challenges and value systematic root cause analysis and sustainable problem-solving.

• You have sound knowledge of Java and extensive experience with UI frameworks based on SWT.
• You have very good knowledge of Eclipse RCP and Eclipse RAP.
• You have extensive expertise in software architecture and design patterns and know how to use them effectively in existing system landscapes.
• You can quickly familiarize yourself with complex legacy codebases and navigate confidently even in extensive, established systems.
• You have experience in the further development of existing applications, consistently taking backward compatibility into account.
• You have knowledge of working with ORM technologies.
• You have experience in profiling Java applications in client-server environments and know how to systematically analyze performance problems.
• You are characterized by high self-motivation, a structured and independent way of working, and strong problem-solving skills.
• You get to the bottom of technical challenges, carefully analyze causes, and prefer sustainable solutions over short-term symptom relief.
