Project overview

The FWU Institute for Film and Image in Science and Education gGmbH is a company of the federal states. It produces curriculum-central media for school education and extracurricular education. As the most important provider, we realize approx. 60 new titles (online media) per year. This also includes the distribution of educational media and the development of web-based offerings. We provide media services for the establishment and expansion of state-owned and cross-state educational media infrastructures. We support the federal states in projects within the framework of the DigitalPakt Schule. We employ approx.

95 employees.

To strengthen our program area, we are looking for a Referent for Protestant Religion (part-time approx. 50%) as soon as possible from 01.01.2027.

As a Referent, you will be responsible in our Humanities and Social Sciences, Religion program area for the conception and realization of media productions in the field of Protestant Religion and Ethics (depending on the federal state, this also includes subjects such as Christian Religions, LER (Life Design-Ethics-Religious Studies) and denominational-cooperative religious education) according to the standards and processes valid for our media productions.

Responsibilities

• Conception, development, and production as well as editorial support of productions in the field of Protestant Religion and Ethics
• Utilization of subject-specific, (religious) didactic, and media pedagogical developments
• Review and assessment of licensed material from other producers
• Participation in the development of production plans
• Selection and coordination of authors, subject matter experts, and production companies
• Product marketing and pedagogical public relations
• Representation in the relevant committees of church media work

• University degree in academic theology (state examination/Master's for teaching at grammar schools or First Theological Examination/Magister Theologiae)
• Pedagogical knowledge and teaching experience (primary level or secondary level I and/or II) if possible
• Knowledge and experience in editorial work or media work and production
• Ability for creative design of educational media
• Very good communication and strong team and organizational skills
• Loyalty to the Protestant Church
• Strong interest and practical experience in ecumenical cooperation if possible
• An innovative and demanding activity outside of school teaching
• A contract initially limited to approx. 2 years in accordance with TVoD up to E 13/E 14, depending on personal qualifications and experience
