Job description
We are looking for a Requirements Engineer with experience in the Polarion requirements management platform to migrate existing requirements from Excel into Polarion for an automated sampling system project.
Project overview
For our client, we are looking for a Requirements Engineer with experience in the requirements management platform Polarion.
Your main task is to transfer existing requirement data from Excel documentation into Polarion, prepare it in a structured manner, and check it for completeness, consistency, and data quality. The goal is to provide a consolidated and verifiably maintained requirements inventory as part of a scope expansion of a development project for an automatic sampling system, including associated software.
Responsibilities
- Transfer of existing requirement data from Excel into the Polarion requirements management platform
- Structuring and assignment of requirements according to the specified data model and existing project structure
- Checking the transferred data sets for completeness and consistency
- Identification and documentation of data quality and structural deviations
- Maintenance and quality assurance of the requirements inventory in Polarion
- Ensuring verifiable linking and traceability of requirements
Requirements
- Practical experience working with Polarion
- Knowledge in Requirements Management and methods of Requirements Management
- Understanding of technical requirements and documentation structures in development projects
- Experience with hierarchical data models, linking, and traceability concepts
- Experience in quality assurance and consistency checking of data
- Confident use of Excel
- Good German and English language skills
Nice to have
- Experience in migration or transfer of requirement data between different documentation formats or systems
- Experience in technical development projects in mechanical engineering or in the plant/system environment
