Resident Quality Inspector – Rotating Equipment

Project overview

For a demanding industrial project, we are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector with a focus on rotating equipment and compressor systems. In this position, you will be responsible for quality monitoring at international manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, relevant standards, and project-specific quality requirements.

• Monitoring of manufacturing, assembly, and testing of rotating equipment, especially compressors.
• Conducting supplier audits, inspections, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
• Reviewing quality plans, manufacturing documentation, and certification documents.
• Checking material traceability as well as welding, NDT, and pressure tests.
• Evaluating and tracking quality deviations and corrective actions.
• Monitoring manufacturing progress, preparing reports, and checking release for shipment.
• Technical training or degree, for example in mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
• At least 10 years of experience in QA/QC and supplier monitoring in industrial plant construction, the oil and gas industry, LNG, or petrochemicals.
• Sound knowledge in the inspection of compressors and rotating equipment, as well as in FAT, manufacturing monitoring, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of relevant quality standards, especially ISO 29001 and ISO 9001.
• Welding inspector certification (e.g., CSWIP 3.1/3.2) is an advantage.
• Strong quality and safety awareness.
• Good German and English language skills.
