Rollout Technician - Windows 11

Responsibilities

• Preparation and planning of the Windows 11 migration
• Checking hardware compatibility and inventorying end devices
• Installation, imaging, and configuration of clients including standard software
• Execution of the rollout and partial replacement of existing workstation systems
• Migration of user profiles, user data, and system settings
• Setup and testing of network, printer, and peripheral connections
• Execution of functional and acceptance tests, as well as quality assurance
• Handover of systems to users, including instruction and support
• Analysis, resolution, and documentation of technical issues
• Maintenance of rollout and inventory lists, as well as creation of status and final documentation
• Support during go-live and the stabilization phase

• Good knowledge of Windows 11, as well as client installation and configuration
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft environments, and common ticketing systems
• Experience in 1st and 2nd level support, as well as technical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of client imaging, software distribution, and standardized deployment processes
• Knowledge of Microsoft Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) or Microsoft Intune
• Experience with network, printer, and peripheral connections
• Confident use of MS Office and documentation tools
• Independent, structured way of working, as well as strong service and customer orientation
• Good German language skills, both written and spoken
• At least 3 years of professional experience in client rollouts, workstation migrations, or IT workstation deployment
• Experience with larger rollouts under tight deadlines
• Practical experience with Windows 11 migrations or comparable operating system migrations
• Experience in client deployment, data migration, functional testing, and troubleshooting
• Experience in rollout documentation and quality assurance
• Experience in user support, as well as in go-live and stabilization phases
• Experience in collaboration with IT operations teams and project management

Execution of an extensive migration of over 200 workstation systems to Windows 11 within a period of one to two weeks. The goal is the timely provision of fully functional clients, including the transfer of user data, installation of required standard software, and configuration of customer-specific system settings. Implementation will be carried out in compliance with the specified quality, security, and documentation standards.
