SAP Analytics Consultant

Project overview

For a client project, we are looking for an experienced SAP BI & Analytics Consultant for the conception and implementation of modern analytics and planning solutions. The focus is on building an integrated data and reporting landscape and further developing corporate planning with SAP Analytics Cloud Planning.

The system landscape includes SAP BW/4HANA, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Datasphere, and SAP Business Data Cloud.

Tasks in the project

• Analysis of the existing analytics and planning landscape and conception of a suitable target architecture.
• Development and optimization of data models and ETL processes using BW extractors, CDS views, SAP HANA views, and SAP Datasphere.
• Conception and implementation of reports, interactive dashboards, and KPIs with SAP Analytics Cloud, Embedded Analytics, and Analysis for Office.
• Recording and optimization of business requirements for financial, sales, and integrated corporate planning.
• Implementation of SAC Planning including planning models, Advanced Formulas, Data Actions, and allocation logic.
• Functional and technical integration with SAP S/4HANA, especially FI/CO, as well as other source systems.
• Support for the migration of existing BW, SAP BPC, and BW IP solutions towards SAP Datasphere and SAC Planning.
• Conducting requirements and Fit-to-Standard workshops and developing Proof-of-Concepts.
• Creation of technical and functional documentation and conducting key user training.
• Depending on experience, taking over the functional management of individual work packages or partial project management.

Requirements

• At least four years of project experience in the SAP BI, Analytics, or Planning environment.
• Profound knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud and SAC Planning.
• Experience with SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere; knowledge of SAP Business Data Cloud is an advantage.
• Expertise in data modeling, data integration, and ETL processes.
• Understanding of business planning processes, especially financial and sales planning.
• Experience in connecting SAP S/4HANA and ideally knowledge of FI/CO processes.
• Knowledge of SAP BPC and/or BW IP and experience with corresponding migrations are desirable.
• Programming skills in HANA SQLScript, ABAP, JavaScript, and/or SAC Advanced Formulas.
• Independent, structured way of working and strong communication skills in exchange with business departments and IT.
• Very good German and good English skills.
