SAP CAP Developer

Project overview

For our client, we are looking for an SAP CAP Developer in the energy industry.

Responsibilities

• Development and implementation of SAP extensions using ABAP Cloud, RAP, and CDS according to Clean Core principles
• Creation of side-by-side applications based on SAP BTP and the CAP model
• Ensuring high development quality through the use of modern methods and tools such as Git, CI/CD, automated tests, and code reviews

Requirements

• ABAP / ABAP Cloud / RAP / CDS: Clean Core compliant extensions directly in S/4HANA without unnecessary modifications to the standard.
• SAP BTP / CAP: Development of side-by-side extensions outside the S/4HANA Core.
• APIs / OData / Events: Decoupling of systems and standardized integration instead of tight point-to-point dependencies.
• Clean Core and Extensibility Understanding: Assessment of whether requirements should be implemented in standard, on-stack, or side-by-side.
• Custom Code Modernization: Analysis and replacement of existing Z developments as part of the S/4HANA transformation.
• Git / CI/CD / Tests / Code Quality: Modern, traceable, and maintainable development processes.
• Architecture and Integration Understanding: Collaboration with architecture and integration to implement a consistent target picture.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite
• Optional: SAP certifications in ABAP Cloud, SAP BTP Development, SAP Extension Development, Integration Suite, or Enterprise Architecture.
