Project overview

For a project of an international telecommunications group, external consulting support is sought for the conception of Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) in the SAP HCM environment. The focus is on the functional and technical development of a GDPR-compliant ILM concept for personnel data, taking into account existing processes, data stocks, and system landscapes.

Responsibilities

• Analysis of existing deletion, retention, archiving, and historization concepts in the SAP HCM environment
• Development of a functionally and technically coordinated SAP ILM concept for personnel data
• Recording and evaluation of relevant requirements from the business department, data protection, governance, and IT
• Analysis of SAP HCM data structures, personnel documents, interfaces, as well as upstream and downstream systems
• Planning, moderation, and documentation of workshops with relevant stakeholders
• Coordination of functional requirements with involved sub-projects and system administrators
• Definition and documentation of governance, release, control, and evidence processes
• Consolidation of workshop results into a project-wide coordinated target concept
• Derivation of actionable requirements for downstream business and IT teams

Requirements

Technical Requirements (Must-have)

Desirable Qualifications (Nice-to-have)

• Several years of practical experience with SAP Information Lifecycle Management (SAP ILM)
• Demonstrable project experience in the introduction or conception of deletion, archiving, and retention concepts
• Sound knowledge in the SAP HCM environment
• Experience with personal data and GDPR-relevant requirements in the SAP environment
• Very good understanding of SAP HCM data structures, document management, interfaces, and surrounding systems
• Experience in conducting requirements analyses and business workshops
• Experience in the public sector or corporate environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in data protection and retention obligations
• Experience in transformation or consolidation projects of large SAP landscapes
• Knowledge of adjacent SAP HCM modules and HR processes
