Job description
Experienced SAP Project Manager needed for an ongoing SAP implementation project on the client's side for a non-profit organization in NRW. The role involves managing the realization and testing phases with a planned go-live on April 1, 2027.
Project overview
For a non-profit, publicly funded organization in NRW, we are looking for an experienced SAP Project Manager to take over an ongoing SAP implementation project on the client's side. Rough and detailed concepts are available; the project is in the realization and testing phase; go-live is planned for April 1, 2027.

- Take over internal overall project management, including knowledge transfer, status analysis, and prioritization of open points
- Functional leadership of internal sub-project managers and key users
- Management of scope, deadlines, budget, risks, and decisions; maintenance of the overall project plan
- Management and performance monitoring of the implementation partner (change requests, escalations)
- Coordination of integration tests, acceptances, data migration, training, cutover, go-live, and stabilization
- Reporting to the project client and steering committee
- Several years of independent management of complex SAP implementations, including at least one SAP finance implementation (FI/CO)
- Two personal references as project manager in comparable SAP projects (mentioning the client)
- Experience in managing external implementation partners
- Experience in test, migration, and go-live phases
- Very good German language skills
- SAP PSM, Grants Management / GTR, funding or third-party funding processes
- Projects at universities, research institutions, or publicly funded organizations
- PMP, IPMA or PRINCE2 Practitioner, SAP Activate
- Start: December 2026, duration until approx. June 2027 (extension until December 2027 possible)
- Scope: approx. 15-20 days per month
- Remote with regular on-site appointments in NRW
- Freelance or through your own company
