SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Localization Latvia | From ASAP for Short-Term Project

Project overview

For an SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud project, an experienced SAP consultant with in-depth expertise in country-specific localization for Latvia is sought. The goal of the project is the analysis, evaluation, and optimization of legal and regulatory requirements in Finance and, if applicable, Logistics within SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and evaluation of Latvian Finance localization in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud
• Evaluation of VAT/Value Added Tax processes, VID reporting, withholding tax, chart of accounts, and closing processes
• Analysis of legal e-invoicing requirements (B2G/B2B) and evaluation of the SAP solution regarding compliance
• Evaluation of Latvian Logistics localization (Intrastat, customs requirements, MM/SD-specific country configurations)
• Analysis of SAP standard localization content for Latvia and evaluation of its suitability for project requirements
• Performance of a gap analysis between standard functionality and business requirements
• Creation of solution recommendations and optimization proposals
• Documentation of results and performance of knowledge transfer activities

Especially important: Demonstrable practical experience with SAP localization for Latvia, particularly in the areas of VAT, VID reporting, e-invoicing, Intrastat, and country-specific Finance and Logistics requirements.

• Several years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, ideally S/4HANA Public Cloud
• In-depth knowledge of SAP Finance (FI) and the relevant localization requirements for Latvia
• Practical experience with:
• VAT / Value Added Tax processes
• VID reporting
• Withholding tax
• Latvian chart of accounts
• E-invoicing requirements
• Intrastat and customs processes
• Experience with SAP Localization Content and Legal Change Packages
• Experience in regulatory assessments, compliance checks, and gap analyses
• Structured, independent way of working, as well as strong documentation and analytical skills
• Involvement in the SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environment
• Results-oriented assessment and consulting project
• Reporting line to the SAP Engagement Lead / Project Manager
• Independent execution and responsibility for agreed deliverables
• Start: From ASAP
• Duration: Until the end of the year (with option for extension)
• Utilization: 1 day / week
• Location: remote (occasionally on-site in Frankfurt am Main)
