For a client project, we are looking for experienced support in the following position:

SBC / VDI Solutions Specialist – Citrix & Linux

Responsibilities

• Building, operating, and further developing the VDI infrastructure with a focus on Linux/Ubuntu and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops
• Configuration, implementation, and operation of virtual Linux clients and Citrix VDAs
• Automation of client deployment and operation using PowerShell, Bash, and Shell Scripting
• Configuration of Linux-specific Citrix Policies in a Microsoft Active Directory environment
• Installation, configuration, and testing of VDI management systems as well as deployment of new client images
• Analysis and resolution of complex issues in the VDI, terminal server, client, and network environment, including third-level support
• Operation and optimization of virtual Linux clients in secure and, if applicable, segmented network environments
• Implementation of IT security requirements
• Creation and further development of technical concepts, processes, and documentation
• Support for VDI cloud and virtualization solutions with Citrix, VMware, and Microsoft

• Network analysis (creation and evaluation of traces)
• at least one year of project experience
• Proficiency with common tools for qualifying and resolving errors (Remote Desktop Connection, Windows built-in tools, Windows Resource Kit and support tools, etc.)
• Creation of routines, scripts using PowerShell/Bash/Shell
• Use of broker systems (access from inside and outside the company network)
• Use of tools for capacity monitoring
• Use of tools for mass provisioning
• Knowledge of Microsoft's SCCM product
• Knowledge of threats and possible protective measures in IT security, especially with a Linux focus

Project Background:

An experienced specialist with a focus on Linux and/or Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is sought for the operation and further development of an existing Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI).

In addition to operating the existing VDI infrastructure, an additional platform for virtual Linux development clients based on Ubuntu is to be built. The focus is on building, operating, and automating the platform, taking stability and security requirements into account.
