Security Consultant / Security Architect (Web Application Firewall)

Project overview

We, emagine GmbH, are looking for a Security Consultant / Security Architect (m/f/d) for our Business Unit Insurance with profound experience in the selection and evaluation of application security solutions.

Project Goal

The goal of the project is the neutral evaluation of possible WAF solutions (Web Application Firewall solutions) as well as the development of a basis for decision-making for the selection of a suitable security platform, taking into account functional, technical, organizational, and economic requirements.

Profile Sought

The ideal consultant has profound experience in the selection and evaluation of application security solutions and can work as an independent sparring partner to develop a reliable basis for decision-making for management and architecture committees. The focus is not on implementation, but on the strategic evaluation, assessment, and recommendation of suitable WAF technologies.

Framework Conditions

• Experience in conducting requirements analyses and technology evaluations
• Creation of decision proposals for management and architecture committees
• Structured documentation and presentation skills
• Several years of experience in the field of Application Security and Web Application Firewalls. Knowledge of leading WAF solutions, for example:
• Azure Web Application Firewall
• AWS WAF
• Cloudflare WAF
• F5 Advanced WAF
• Imperva WAF
• Akamai App & API Protector
• Barracuda WAF
• Experience with API security, bot protection, and application-level DDoS protection
• Knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (OWASP Top 10, NIST, ISO 27001)
