Security Consultant / Security Architect Web Application Firewall

Project overview

We are looking for an experienced Security Consultant / Security Architect (m/f/d) for the neutral assessment and evaluation of Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions. The project is located in the Business Unit Insurance and aims to create a well-founded basis for decision-making for the selection of a suitable security platform.

Responsibilities

You will conduct a structured requirements analysis and evaluate various WAF technologies from technical, organizational, and economic perspectives. You will prepare decision papers for management and architecture committees and document your findings in a structured and presentation-ready manner.

Requirements

You have several years of experience in the field of Application Security and Web Application Firewalls. You are familiar with leading WAF solutions and have knowledge of API security, bot protection, and application-level DDoS protection. Familiarity with relevant standards and frameworks such as OWASP Top 10, NIST, and ISO 27001 is required. You have experience in conducting requirements analyses and technology evaluations as well as in preparing decision papers.

The ideal candidate acts as an independent sparring partner, focusing on strategic evaluation and recommendation of suitable technologies – not on implementation.
