• Develop and operate a modern document management platform to support sales and customer processes
• Take end-to-end responsibility for the conception, implementation, testing, and deployment of existing document management microservices based on Spring Boot and Java
• Conceive and implement future-oriented solutions with Spring and Java as well as Angular
• Gather, analyze, and optimally implement business requirements in collaboration with Business Engineering, business units, and sales departments, and advise internal customers and stakeholders on document management, integrations, and process optimization
• Co-design the strategic direction and continuous development of the document management landscape, for example in the areas of automation, self-services, and API-First
• Ensure the stability, performance, and security of services in ongoing operation and handle monitoring, logging, and incident management
• Participate in architecture reviews and technical decision-making processes, including API design, event architectures, and integration into existing system landscapes
• Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, pair programming, refactoring, unit and integration tests, as well as CI/CD pipelines
• Senior profile with 5-8 years of professional experience in application development
• Very good knowledge of Java and the Spring framework, especially Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Security
• Experience with modern web and UI technologies, especially Node.js, TypeScript, and Angular, as well as with the development and maintenance of performant, maintainable single-page applications
• Profound experience with modern software development methods, especially Clean Code, Design Patterns, Test Automation, and Code Reviews
• Very good Linux knowledge, especially in the secure handling of shells, file systems, permissions, and basic operating system tools
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL, data modeling, and ORM mappers like JPA/Hibernate
• Strong understanding of data integration and interfaces, especially XML, XSD, JSON, and REST
• Experience in developing distributed systems and microservices, including resilience, observability, versioning, and interface contracts
• Basic understanding of central security principles in software development, especially OWASP Top 10, secure authentication and authorization, and encryption
• Experience with agile working methods such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience in collaborating with various business units and interdisciplinary teams
• Strong analytical thinking, a structured and solution-oriented approach, and basic knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• German language skills at B2 level and English language skills at B2 level
• Practical experience with Kubernetes in mixed on-premises and cloud environments
• Practical experience with DevOps practices, especially Continuous Integration and Delivery, monitoring, and automation of build and deployment processes
• Experience with scaled agile frameworks like SAFe
