Job description
Seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12+ month project starting January 2027 in Munich. The role involves analyzing and documenting applications, processes, and interfaces, and coordinating technical details for a Java/JSF application.
Responsibilities
- Analysis and documentation of existing applications, business processes, and interfaces
- Coordination of technical details of the Java/JSF application with developers and consolidation of information from various teams
- Evaluation of existing functions regarding takeover, adaptation, or replacement
- Modeling of business processes with BPMN and creation of domain models
- Analysis of interfaces and creation of business data mappings including business rules and special cases
- Creation and coordination of features, stories, and acceptance criteria in Jira up to sprint readiness
- Support with business tests and acceptances as well as documentation in Confluence
- Use of approved AI tools to support business analysis

- Demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst in complex IT projects with independent responsibility
- Very good knowledge of requirements analysis, requirements management, and creation of features, stories, and acceptance criteria
- Confident Jira practice as well as willingness to work with Confluence
- Experience with BPMN, domain models, and Scrum
- Practical knowledge of REST/OpenAPI and JSON interfaces as well as business data mappings
- Ability for independent analysis of complex contexts and structured preparation of information
- Very good German language skills
- Experience in the insurance sector, especially composite claims, as well as with the replacement of legacy systems
- Knowledge of Java/JSF, WSDL/XML, GraphQL, or SQL
- Knowledge of Camunda 7/8 and Domain-driven Design
- Experience with AI-supported business analysis
