Senior DevOps Engineer

Project overview

We are currently looking for a Sr. DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) for one of our clients for the following project:

Responsibilities

• Implementation of solution designs, architectures, and customer requirements
• Coordination with customers and service organizations (internal)
• Implementation of target architectures and customer requirements into IT solutions on existing or new target platforms
• Independent administration, maintenance, and monitoring of Linux-based system environments
• Introduction, expansion, and optimization of the Kubernetes environment with Rancher as the management tool
• Automation of recurring administration and management processes, e.g., patch management
• Setup and operation of new, central monitoring, e.g., Prometheus/Grafana for the container environment
• Planning and execution of regular cluster failover tests, or DR tests (backup-restore)
• Maintenance of operational and disaster recovery documentation

Requirements

• Professional experience with cloud technologies, especially Kubernetes
• Very good knowledge and practical experience in containerization, configuration, creation, and maintenance of software with Kubernetes, experience with ArgoCD is an advantage
• Good experience with databases, database cluster technologies, good to very good experience in MariaDB and PostgreSQL is an advantage
• Good to very good knowledge of common OpenSource solutions, e.g., Git, Apache, Nginix, Redis, ElasticSearch, Grafana, Keycloak, Nextcloud, etc.
• Experience in the network area and with storage technologies for exchange with the server operations teams is advantageous
• Conceptual skills for creating concepts, big pictures, logical architectures, and operational documentation
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written
