Senior Enterprise Architect

Responsibilities

• Development of a strategic high-level IT target image for the global IT setup
• Creation of a decision-ready high-level concept for the board and top management
• Definition of the future division of tasks between Global Office, business units, regions, service functions, and external partners
• Development of target structures, governance models, and relevant milestones
• Elaboration and evaluation of make, buy, and hybrid scenarios
• Conception of demand management/requirements management, project portfolio steering, and delivery model/execution model
• Integration of cloud, IT security, data protection, and cyber defense into the target image
• Consideration of AI, data, automation, and digital platforms for increased efficiency and scalability
• Description of a verifiable transition logic from the current IT setup to the target organization in the next 4-5 years
• Presentation of best practices, references, resource requirements, timeline, and rough cost planning
• Content-related delimitation of an optional Phase 2 for detailing and implementation support

Requirements

• Several years of experience in developing strategic IT target images at the enterprise level
• Sound experience in Enterprise Architecture in an international corporate environment
• Experience with global IT organizational models and centralization/decentralization approaches
• Very good knowledge of governance, sourcing, and operating model design
• Experience in cloud, IT security, data protection, and cyber defense topics
• Experience in demand management, portfolio management, and delivery capability for large projects
• Ability to prepare complex strategic content in a decision-ready and board-appropriate manner
• Experience in creating concise PowerPoint documents
• Very good German and English skills (documentation, presentation, and offer in English)
• Experience in strategically important transformation or target image projects close to the board

For our client company, we are looking for an Enterprise Architect. As part of a strategy project close to the board, an IT target image for a global organization with several international business units and many locations is to be developed. Phase 1 focuses on developing an IT target image for the next 4-5 years; an optional Phase 2 involves detailed elaboration and implementation support for the subsequent IT transformation. The focus is on target organization, governance, sourcing, cloud, IT security, data protection, cyber defense, and the use of AI, data, automation, and digital platforms.
