Senior IT Project Manager / Hands-on Implementation Manager

Project overview

For an owner-managed, internationally active group of companies, we are looking for an experienced freelancer to independently lead and operationally implement a comprehensive digitalization project.

The group of companies comprises around 20 legally independent, partially interconnected companies, primarily distributed across two comparable structures in Germany and the USA. Operationally, it is a manageable organization with a total of around 25 PC workstations and actively involved individuals – explicitly not a classic corporate structure.

• Gradual introduction of a largely cloud-based software landscape for the entire group of companies.
• ERP introduction, financial reporting, project and budget management, time tracking, as well as other administrative, approval, and integration solutions.
• A preliminary ERP selection (Weclapp) is available but must be finally reviewed and validated, especially regarding international requirements.
• Specification of further solution components, including requirements analysis, specifications, and system selection.
• Independent overall project management, including active participation in configuration, integration, and implementation, as well as coordination of internal employees and external service providers.
• sound ERP, cloud, and integration experience
• understanding of international commercial processes, as well as a strong hands-on mentality.
• experience with complex multi-company structures is important,
• Weclapp knowledge is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Full-time mandate for an estimated 6–12 months
• 2–3 days per week on-site, remaining time remote
• Independent operational project responsibility with direct access to the owner and the departments
• Collaboration with a small internal team and existing external IT partners
