Senior Java DevOps Engineer

Project overview

On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Java DevOps Engineer for the new and further development of a modern platform for digital onboarding and digital product opening.

Responsibilities

• New and further development as well as operation of self-developed services within an agile DevOps team
• Development of modern backend solutions with Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA and Kotlin
• Use and further development of cloud technologies with Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes and Helm
• Conception and operation of database solutions with PostgreSQL
• Participation in frontend components with TypeScript, Angular, HTML5 and CSS3
• Verification of developed solutions based on internal and external security standards
• Optimization and continuous further development of existing operating processes
• Conceptual participation and active shaping of services and technical solutions
• Consulting the business department regarding technical feasibility as well as variant and opinion formation
• Close cooperation with Product Owner, Business Engineers and Architecture to develop sustainable and optimal solutions
• Participation in an agile DevOps team within a SAFe environment

Requirements

Soft Skills

• Completed studies in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a comparable technical qualification
• Senior level with approx. 5 to 8 years of relevant professional experience in software engineering or DevOps environment
• Very good practical knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA and ideally Kotlin
• Good cloud development knowledge, especially with Microsoft Azure
• Sound practical experience with Kubernetes and Helm
• Experience with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases
• Knowledge of modern frontend technologies such as TypeScript, Angular, HTML5 and CSS3
• Experience with DevOps practices as well as the development and operation of productive services
• Good understanding of IT security standards and their application in the testing of developed solutions
• Experience in agile development environments, ideally with SAFe
• Language skills: German at least C1 in spoken and written form as well as English at least B1
• Strong team and communication skills for close cooperation with Product Owner, Business Engineering, Architecture and business departments
• Conceptual and solution-oriented way of working with enjoyment in actively shaping technical services
• High degree of personal responsibility, quality awareness and pragmatic approach to complex technical challenges
