Senior Omnissa Horizon Engineer VDI Client Operations

Project overview

For an established company in the healthcare sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to ensure the operation of an Omnissa VDI platform. The project runs for 12 months with 260 hours per quarter and is predominantly remote with a location in Bavaria.

As a Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of the VDI infrastructure: from application management and packaging with Omnissa App Volumes to 2nd-level support. You will take care of maintaining DEM configurations, policies, and master images, create and maintain logon, logoff, and PowerShell scripts, and perform regular Windows updates. Furthermore, you will process incidents, perform root cause analyses, and support manufacturer escalations.

Requirements

Additional certifications such as OCAP, MD-102, and AZ-104, as well as basic knowledge of vSAN and backup solutions, are desirable.

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification
• At least 10 years of professional experience in Enterprise Client Management in complex IT environments
• At least 10 years of practical operation of Omnissa or VMware Horizon with 1,500+ sessions
• Comprehensive knowledge of App Volumes, DEM, vSphere, vCenter, and FSLogix
• Sound knowledge of Active Directory, Entra ID, Group Policies, and Windows 11
• Very good PowerShell skills
• OCA-H or VCP-DTM certification required
