• You will further develop delivery pipelines, build and CI tooling, and deployment automations to deliver applications reliably, securely, traceably, and reproducibly.
• You will further develop an existing OpenShift-based platform landscape and bring short-term delivery capability, long-term maintainability, stability, security, and automation into a viable balance.
• You will develop overarching target visions, architectural concepts, standards, and decision-making bases for delivery pipelines, build and CI environments, deployment processes, and platform integration.
• You will work hands-on on implementation, write and review code, automate processes, and integrate technical solutions into the existing platform.
• You will take architectural responsibility for the build, CI/CD, and delivery landscape, shape the technical roadmap, and coordinate architectural decisions with product owners, teams, and technical stakeholders.
• You will coach engineers and development teams on CI/CD, deployment, platform, and architecture issues and clearly document tools, concepts, and architectural decisions.
• You will make quality, stability, and delivery performance transparent using appropriate metrics and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Splunk.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in software development, software architecture, platform engineering, DevOps, or CI/CD, including several years in the architecture of platform, integration, or delivery landscapes in complex productive environments; demonstrable experience with a shared platform or delivery landscape used by multiple teams or applications.
• Current practical engineering experience as well as the willingness to write code yourself and implement technical solutions on the platform.
• Motivation to combine technical excellence, automation, and operational stability in complex, heterogeneous, and mission-critical software systems.
• Ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex technical and business contexts and independently derive viable target visions, architectural concepts, and decision-making bases in a resilient, quality- and solution-oriented manner.
• Experience taking technical responsibility in an agile environment, moderating architectural decisions, and coordinating solutions across multiple teams or stakeholder groups.
• Experience with AI-supported software development and the meaningful automation of tasks.
• Confident demeanor as well as target group-oriented communication and presentation skills in German and common business English, including conveying complex content to a larger audience.
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes, container technologies, GitOps, Argo CD, Helm, or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Java, Python, Go, or a comparable programming language.
• Experience with monitoring, telemetry, and observability, for example with Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Experience with highly available, operationally critical, or security-relevant applications.
• Experience as Lead Architect, Solution Architect, Platform Architect, or Technical Lead in a complex system landscape.
