Senior Product Manager Payments – Banking Platform

Description

For our client in the banking sector, we are looking for an experienced product manager with in-depth knowledge of payment transactions. You will represent product management in a program for the further development of the banking platform and will oversee the assessment of a possible replacement of core banking functionality in payment transactions. Additionally, you will drive initiatives for risk reduction and the further development of existing controls.

• Representing the interests of product management within the banking platform program
• Collection, analysis, and documentation of business requirements in payment transactions
• Overseeing the selection of external providers and coordinating requirements with potential suppliers
• Coordinating internal stakeholders from front units, product management, and IT
• Close collaboration with external suppliers
• Driving initiatives to reduce risks in payment transactions
• Further development of existing controls and consideration of customer needs as well as market requirements

Requirements

• Completed degree in Business Administration, Banking, or Engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience in product management, consulting, or a project management role within the financial industry
• For the expert function, an experience level of approximately 8–12 years is targeted
• Extensive knowledge in payment transactions, especially SIC and SWIFT
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• High degree of initiative, quick comprehension, and networked thinking
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in collaborating with various internal stakeholders
• Good understanding of customer needs and market requirements
• German language skills at least at level C1
