Senior Quality & Process Assurance Manager – 100% Remote

Project overview

For a client project in the financial data environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior Quality & Process Assurance Manager. The focus is on the quality assurance of IT changes and releases, as well as the further development of the associated testing and quality processes.

The goal is to implement productive changes in compliance with processes and with complete testing, and to sustainably reduce change- or release-related disruptions.

Framework Conditions

Contract Type: Freelance / Project Contract

Responsibilities

Complete testing of all planned changes and releases for compliance with defined processes and quality requirements.

Control of mandatory evidence, especially approvals, test evidence, rollback/backout plans, and implementation documentation.

Definition and further development of binding Quality Gates and acceptance criteria before go-live.

Approval or rejection of Quality Gates from a QM perspective, including documentation and tracking of deviations.

Testing of affected financial data for plausibility, completeness, and consistency.

Maintenance and further development of test catalogs, checklists, gate criteria, and KPI definitions.

Analysis of incidents after changes and releases, and derivation of concrete process improvements.

Participation in post-incident reviews and creation of the QM contribution to corresponding reports.

Creation of quality reporting and coordination with management, change, release, and incident management.

Conducting internal process reviews and further developing an audit-ready QM framework.

Technical coordination of Junior Analysts, prioritization of test orders, and review of results.

The role is responsible for quality assurance and the QM framework; the operational execution and approval of changes remain with the responsible functions.

What You Bring

At least five years of experience in IT service, quality, or process management.

Solid knowledge of change, release, and incident management processes.

Experience with data quality management and data provision processes.

Understanding of financial and securities data to assess their plausibility.

Proficient in Jira and MS Office, as well as a basic understanding of monitoring tools and data provision systems.

Analytical, structured way of working and a strong sense of quality.

Strong communication skills, assertiveness, and experience in stakeholder and escalation management.

Experience in the technical guidance of junior roles.

German and English language skills, spoken and written.

Advantageous

Experience in a regulated financial environment or with financial information service providers.

ITIL certification.

Knowledge of regulatory requirements, especially in the context of BaFin and DORA.
