Senior Sage 100 Developer (Cloud Migration & Data Migration)

Project overview

A manufacturing company in the food industry (approx. 100 employees, DACH) uses Sage 100 as their ERP and system of record for master data, goods movements, orders, delivery notes, and invoices. The on-premise installation runs on an outdated server, is slow, and does not allow for further modules. The goal is to migrate Sage 100 to a cloud environment: inventory, target state, scoping, and project plan, then the implementation including data migration together with the existing cloud hosting provider.

Afterwards, the company needs independent Sage consulting that honestly evaluates new requirements (e.g., document management) and recommends the most sensible implementation. An individual planning layer on Sage is already under development and will be supplemented, not replaced.

Responsibilities

• Technical analysis of the existing installation: version, database, customizations, add-ons, and interfaces (including scanner integration for goods movements)
• Technical migration concept and setup of the Sage 100 environment in the cloud, including transfer of configuration and adjustments
• Data migration including cleansing, test migration, validation, and cutover
• Adaptation and testing of all interfaces and third-party extensions in the new environment

Requirements

• Several years of technical experience with Sage 100 (installation, customizing, database on Microsoft SQL Server)
• Demonstrable Sage 100 migrations (server, version, or cloud/hosting change) including data migration
• Proficient in SQL, interfaces/APIs, and Windows Server and cloud hosting environments
• Fluent German
