Senior SOC Analyst

Project overview

For a company in the IT security sector, we are looking for an experienced Senior SOC Analyst for an international cyber-security project in Abu Dhabi. Following a major security incident, the security environment is to be restored and SOC operations stabilized and further developed.

Responsibilities

• Analysis and evaluation of security alerts and performance of alert triage at L2/L3 level
• Participation in the stabilization and further development of ongoing SOC operations
• Review and optimization of existing detection rules and security use cases
• Evaluation of coverage gaps as well as false positives and false negatives
• Further development of SOC playbooks and operational security processes
• Participation in the further development of the SOC target image and security capabilities
• Collaboration with other security experts and the project teams on-site

Requirements

• On-site in Abu Dhabi (3 months or two weeks alternating)
• At least five years of professional experience in the SOC environment at L2/L3 level
• Sound practical experience in SOC operations and security alert triage
• Experience with SIEM and EDR technologies
• Knowledge in the area of detection engineering and the further development of security use cases
• Experience with SOC transformation, SOC setup, or maturity development
• Knowledge in cloud, Linux, and Windows environments is relevant for the overall project; the specific role assignment is yet to be verified
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style, even under high time pressure
• Fluent English is mandatory
• Arabic is an advantage; German is secondary
