Software Architect --- Remote

Project overview

For a client in Remote, we are currently looking for two

Software Architects (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

• Conception and design of software architectures and software design for complex government and enterprise IT
• Design and further develop architectures based on modern cloud, container, and microservice technologies
• Keep an eye on architectural layers and their interrelationships and evaluate architectures
• Create and maintain architectural documentation according to arc42
• Perform security analyses of software (including vulnerability tools, OWASP)
• Work in classic and agile methodologies (V-Modell XT and Scrum)
• Coordination with involved parties, including at the EU level

• MANDATORY: Willingness for security screening Ü2 according to SÜG
• Willingness to commit according to VerpflG and to the data secrecy obligation according to § 53 BDSG
• Completed IT-related degree (at least FH/Bachelor, e.g., Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical or Communications Engineering), alternatively training as an IT specialist application development or at least 5 years of proven equivalent skills and experience
• At least 5 years of professional and project experience in software architecture and software design
• Very good knowledge of V-Modell XT and Scrum
• Profound ArchiMate knowledge
• Container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Standards and architectures for IT operations including Cloud / IaaS / PaaS / SaaS
• Microservices or SOA
• Network infrastructures and protocols, e.g., TCP/IP, SSL, SFTP, HTTPS
• Security analysis of software, especially vulnerability tools / OWASP
• Databases, e.g., relational DB, NoSQL, Graph-DB, Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB
• CI/CD
• Particularly strongly weighted: Architectural layers and their interrelationships, architecture evaluation, architectural documentation according to arc42, Java / Java EE / Jakarta EE, Spring Framework, REST/SOAP and API design, JavaScript/JSF/PrimeFaces/jQuery/HTML/CSS, IDEs like Eclipse/IntelliJ, Maven/Git or similar, software structure analysis including corresponding tools, high availability architectures, IT security, XML/XSD/XSLT, JIRA
• Desirable: Domain Driven Design, UML, OOA/OOD, UX, Usability and Accessibility, Software Testing and Load Testing, Database Modeling / JPA / JPQL, EAI, Kafka/RabbitMQ/JMS, Enterprise Service Bus, API Gateways, Identity & Access Management (OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, SAML 2.0), Web servers and Application/Servlet servers, Interface standards in the government environment such as XöV, FIM or AS4
• German at least C1, good English skills

Utilization: Part-time, also full-time depending on workload
