Software Engineer – Measurement Data Acquisition & Analysis

For one of our clients, we are looking for a freelance software developer to complete an existing software for measurement data acquisition and analysis.

Project Description and Goal

The project involves completing data acquisition software for reading and analyzing measurement data from telemetry systems. The focus is on processing complex measurement data in real-time and implementing mathematical analysis methods using Go, Python, and C.

The specific scope of functions and the deliverables will be defined together before the project begins.

• Implementation of the remaining open functions within the agreed software scope
• Development and completion of functions for real-time acquisition and processing of complex measurement data
• Implementation of mathematical analysis methods, such as Fast Fourier Transformation (FFT)
• Technical coordination of requirements and interfaces with contacts from firmware and software development
• Versioning of development results with Git and assurance through automated tests in the CI/CD environment
• Completed software version for the agreed functional scope of measurement data acquisition and analysis
• Provision of the associated versioned source code and automated tests
• Proof of functionality based on pre-agreed test scenarios
• Experience in software development with Go, Python, and C
• Good knowledge of measurement technology and experience with complex real-time measurement data acquisition
• Experience in the software implementation of mathematical concepts such as FFT
• Experience with AI-supported software development
• Confident use of Git, automated tests, and CI/CD
• Structured, analytical approach to work and clear technical communication
• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Technical Computer Science, or comparable qualification
• Good German and English language skills
• Project location: Langenhagen near Hannover
• Remote/On-site share: To be agreed upon
• Start: As soon as possible
• Duration: Approximately four months
• Planned utilization: Full utilization
