Job description
Seeking a Java/Spring Boot Software Developer for a 36-month project in Frankfurt am Main, with 80% remote work flexibility. The role involves developing and maintaining Java-based microservices within an agile team.
Responsibilities
- Development and further development of Java-based microservices with Spring Boot within an agile development team
- Conception and implementation of secure, performant, and stable applications and their integration into existing IT system landscapes
- Creation and execution of automated tests along the test pyramid
- Analysis and resolution of errors as well as optimization of application and database performance
- Ensuring application operation up to and including the acceptance environment, as well as taking over 2nd and 3rd level support during business hours
- Support in creating technical and functional concepts as well as defining non-functional requirements
- Conducting code, design, and test reviews as well as creating technical and operational documentation

Expert Candidate Relations
- Sound knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Spring Data / JPA, and REST APIs / OpenAPI
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD as well as knowledge of Kotlin and TypeScript are advantageous
- Knowledge in operating applications on Kubernetes and AWS is desirable
- Confident handling of PostgreSQL and data-intensive applications is advantageous
- Interest in DevOps practices, automated tests, and continuous improvement
- Familiarity with agile development methods and incremental product development
- Independent, analytical way of working as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness for 20% on-site deployment in Frankfurt am Main
