Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Solution Architect.

The project involves further developing digital solutions for the recording and processing of video material of railway infrastructure. The platform forms the basis for digital route knowledge for train drivers, digital vegetation management, and visual measurement functions in the infrastructure environment, among other things. AI-based methods for object recognition, position determination, 3D reconstruction, and anonymization are used. The project team works predominantly remotely according to agile Scrum principles and uses Jira as well as standardized CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Development of cloud-based software and architectural solutions for recording video material of railway infrastructure with mobile iOS devices
• Conception and further development of solutions for position determination, sensor data evaluation, and AI-based anonymization
• Development of visual measurement systems based on objects in video recordings
• Development of localization solutions using video material, GPS, and sensor data
• Consulting on the technical architecture and technology strategy of IT systems
• Analysis of existing architectures and identification of improvement opportunities
• Promotion of innovation, standardization, and architectural knowledge transfer
• Evaluation and documentation of technical risks and derivation of suitable courses of action
• Development of technical architectures from functional requirements
• Creation of technical architecture concepts, including for databases, components, interfaces, and services
• Determination and documentation of non-functional requirements and quality assurance of implementation
• Coordination and monitoring of technical implementation in the project
• Effort estimation for technical solutions
• Presentation of complex technical topics and moderation of architecture workshops
• Conducting design, code, and test reviews

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in developing cloud-based software architectures for video recording with iOS connectivity
• At least 5 years of experience in developing AI-supported computer vision methods with PyTorch and YOLOv
• At least 5 years of experience in developing a native iOS app for recording video material of railway infrastructure with Swift
• At least 3 years of experience in developing visual measurement systems based on object detection in video recordings with OpenCV and SciPy
• At least 5 years of experience in full-stack web development with Java and Python

Nice to have

Note: All must-have criteria must be met.

• 5 years of industry knowledge in traffic and transport infrastructure
• 3 years of communication and moderation expertise
• 3 years of agile methods competence, especially in the Scrum environment
