Solution Architect (m/f/d) Planning and Conception of a New Data Center (90% Remote)

Responsibilities

• Planning and technical conception of a modern, high-performance data center architecture
• Development of a holistic data center architecture from requirements analysis to procurement readiness
• Translation of business and technical performance requirements into concrete hardware and infrastructure specifications
• Creation of complete, robust, and vendor-neutral Bill of Materials (BoM) as a basis for procurement
• Technical coordination between hardware procurement, software teams, and facility engineering

• Language skills: Fluent German and good English skills
• Knowledge in Clos networks, RoCEv2, InfiniBand, BGP, VXLAN, and hardware-based network telemetry
• Knowledge in Infrastructure as Code and infrastructure automation, especially Terraform and Ansible
• Experience in the conception and architecture of enterprise or hyperscale data centers, ideally in the HPC or AI environment
• Experience with modern server and accelerator architectures, especially NVIDIA HGX/DGX and/or AMD Instinct
• Experience with high-density data center infrastructures and high power densities of 30–100+ kW per rack
• Experience in the conception and integration of high-performance storage systems and multi-tier storage architectures
• Experience in translating performance and capacity requirements into technical specifications and Bill of Materials (BoM)
• Experience in the technical support of procurement processes for data center and infrastructure components
• Experience in coordination and collaboration with various technical and business stakeholders
