Responsibilities

For one of our clients in the public sector, we are currently looking for an experienced "Solution Architect" to analyze, design, and implement the working environment of software development teams in isolated platforms during pilot operation.

The assignment will be full-time and approximately 95% remote.

• Analysis of existing development processes, working methods, and individual workarounds, as well as derivation of a future-proof target architecture
• Conception and implementation of standardized development and test environments, including provisioning, access concepts, and environment separation
• Introduction of self-service and platform services for efficient support of development teams
• Steering and support of a pilot operation with several development teams, as well as promotion of user acceptance
• Collection and evaluation of flow metrics for the optimization of the development platform and creation of a rollout roadmap for further teams

• Several years of experience in platform engineering, developer experience, or building and operating internal developer platforms
• Sound knowledge in the provisioning of standardized development and test environments, including in isolated or restricted network environments
• Experience in test data management, separation of development, test, and production environments, as well as securing developer workstations
• Practical experience with modern platform and automation tools such as Backstage, Argo CD, Terraform, Crossplane, GitLab, and comparable solutions
• Willingness to undergo a security check (SÜ2)
