The role involves handling international import and customs clearance processes, coordinating with freight forwarders, and managing import shipments, particularly from Asia and the USA.
Responsibilities
Profile
- Processing and managing international import and customs clearance processes
- Coordinating customs instructions with freight forwarders
- Providing and checking relevant data and documents for customs clearance
- Processing import shipments, especially from Asia and the USA
- Coordination with freight forwarders and relevant interfaces in the logistics environment
- Tracking ongoing transport and import processes
- Documenting and archiving relevant import and customs documents
- Maintaining Excel lists, overviews, and reports
- Checking transport, customs, and clearance invoices
- Structured processing of agreed operational task packages
- Sound practical experience in import and customs
- Confident understanding of import and customs clearance processes
- Experience working with freight forwarders
- Good knowledge of Excel and MS Office
- Quick comprehension and structured way of working
- Strong hands-on mentality
- Good German and good English skills for communication in an international environment and for understanding transport and technical documents
- Experience in international transportation management desirable
- Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA an advantage, but not a requirement
- Experience with international goods flows from Asia and the USA desirable
