For a long-term and demanding project in the aerospace engineering field, we are looking for a qualified and experienced System Engineer on a freelance basis. The project includes the conception, development, and optimization of complex system architectures, as well as the integration of technical components in aerospace-relevant environments. Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and proactive shaping of technical progress are essential.

• Project Start: 02.11.2026
• Project End: 01.11.2027
• Location: Northern Germany (50% remote)
• Development and design of system architectures for aerospace-relevant applications, considering current technical standards and safety requirements.
• Creation and maintenance of detailed system designs and technical specifications for hardware and software components.
• Conducting system analyses, simulations, and validations to ensure the functionality and reliability of the developed solutions.
• Coordination and alignment with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and customer representatives.
• Support in the implementation of test procedures and error analysis, as well as participation in the continuous improvement of existing systems.
• Documentation of system requirements, architectural decisions, and technical solutions according to industry standards.
• Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Profound knowledge in system architecture and system design, especially in the aerospace environment.
• Experience with the development and integration of technical systems and with relevant tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, CAD systems).
• Strong analytical skills and structured working method for solving complex technical issues.
• Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken, to ensure effective communication in international teams.
• High teamwork ability and commitment to deliver high-quality results even under time pressure.
