System Engineer - Microsoft Enterprise Server Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Operation, administration, and further development of a complex Microsoft Enterprise Server infrastructure with a focus on on-premises system landscapes.
• Administration and support of the Windows Server infrastructure and associated services in 3rd level support.
• Responsibility for server lifecycle management, including installation, updates, maintenance, and patch management.
• Administration and further development of Microsoft 365 and Exchange Enterprise Clusters in on-premises environments.
• Support of backend systems and ensuring stable and reliable infrastructure operation.
• Technical point of contact for internal colleagues and IT department employees.

Requirements

• Very good experience with Microsoft Enterprise environments and large on-premises infrastructures with at least 200 to 400 virtual servers.
• Sound knowledge in the administration of Microsoft Windows Server.
• Very good knowledge in patch management and system maintenance.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 and the operation of Exchange Enterprise Clusters in on-premises environments.
• Good infrastructure and backend understanding, ideally including backup solutions like Veeam.
• Experience in operating complex IT environments and an independent, structured way of working.

Nice to have

• Experience in security-critical or regulated IT environments.
• Knowledge in BSI-related environments (Federal Office for Information Security).
• Experience with VMware.
• Willingness to undergo required security checks.
