System Functional Test Engineer for Electric Traction Drives

As a Functional Test Engineer, you will define the test strategy, validation strategy, and methods for electric drive systems and support national and international projects with your valuable expertise.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the integrated system provides proof of successful product validation and functional testing for compliance with system requirements
• Definition and development of test (performance, function), validation strategies, and methods for automotive traction drives
• Planning and coordination of functional system tests and validation activities to ensure compliance with project scope
• Track the status of functional tests and validation measures, reporting on progress and results
• Interface between the project team, the client, and the test department / external test providers
• Responsible for planning system-level tests, performance/function tests, and validation
• Support in carrying out system functional tests, validation, and system characterization
• Support in the conception and optimization of tests for all phases from prototype to production launch

• University degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical field
• Very good knowledge of automotive traction drive systems, functional testing, and validation standards, as well as relevant equipment, e.g., Dyno
• Experience in system functional testing, performance testing, and product validation for automotive traction drives
• Experience with automotive calibration and testing software
• Project management experience
• Good knowledge in the area of Automotive SPICE with a focus on SYS.5 and functional safety according to ISO 26262
• Well-structured work style, excellent communication skills, high ability to integrate into interdisciplinary international teams,
• Fluent English (written and spoken), German language skills are desirable
