Technical Project Manager

Project overview

For an innovative, mid-sized industrial client, we are currently looking for an experienced project manager with a technical focus.

Framework:

• Start: January 2027
• Utilization: Full-time
• Duration: Long-term planned
• Location: Initial onboarding at least 50% on-site in Kiel
• Subsequently, approx. 33% presence in Kiel
• Remote portions flexible and possible in blocks
• Travel to external partners/service providers possible

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for costs, deadlines, and quality at the project level
• Management of a complex development project with hardware, software, and system components
• Steering of interdisciplinary teams and external service providers
• Introduction and implementation of a new software platform
• Definition of proof of performance, documentation, test methods, and toolchains
• Stakeholder management and reporting to management level
• Moderation of concepts and their translation into concrete project requirements

Requirements

• Technical background in electronics, software, or system development
• Several years of experience in managing complex development projects
• Experience with hardware/software development in an industrial environment
• Sound knowledge of project management and steering external partners
• Confident demeanor towards management and stakeholders
• Experience in regulated development environments is an advantage (e.g., rail, CENELEC, functional safety)
• Strong communication and moderation skills
• High social competence and diplomatic skill
• Experience in a mid-sized corporate environment is desirable
