IT Project Lead

Project overview

For our client in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced IT Project Lead (Professional / Senior). In this versatile role, you will take over the operational management and coordination of demanding IT projects and ensure the efficient implementation of the defined project goals.

Responsibilities

• Support and technically competent deputization of the internal project manager within the defined tasks, competencies, and responsibilities
• Planning, management, and coordination of sub-projects across all project phases
• Monitoring of project progress, milestones, resources, and costs, as well as ensuring adherence to defined project goals
• Identification, assessment, and tracking of project risks, dependencies, and open actions, as well as early initiation of appropriate countermeasures
• Ensuring structured task planning, prioritization, and consistent tracking of project activities in Jira
• Coordination and alignment with internal and external stakeholders, as well as ensuring a transparent and timely flow of information
• Application and further development of the specified agile working methods and project management processes
• Creation, maintenance, and ensuring of complete and traceable project documentation in Confluence and other designated systems
• Preparation and documentation of relevant project information, deliverables, decisions, and status reports
• Support in the continuous optimization of project processes and ensuring efficient collaboration between the involved stakeholders

Requirements

• Higher vocational training (HF) or university degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in IT project management as well as in the independent management and coordination of sub-projects
• Sound knowledge of classic and agile project management methods, as well as experience in applying structured project management processes
• Very good knowledge of Jira and Confluence for project planning, task management, and documentation
• Experience in project controlling, especially in monitoring resources, costs, deadlines, milestones, and risks
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, as well as experience in dealing with various stakeholders
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented way of working with a high degree of personal responsibility, assertiveness, and analytical thinking skills
• Very good communication skills, as well as the ability to prepare and convey complex issues in an audience-appropriate manner
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken; good English is an advantage
• Clean criminal record is mandatory
• Experience in public administration projects or in security-relevant environments is an advantage
• Certifications in HERMES, IPMA, PRINCE2, or agile project management methods are an advantage
