Senior / Master Scheduler (m/f) | Mega-projects Infrastructure & Network Expansion | Freelance

For a long-term infrastructure mega-project, we are looking for an experienced freelance Senior / Master Scheduler (m/f) to support the project team in schedule management and project control.

In this key role, you will be responsible for the creation, control, and continuous optimization of complex overall project schedules across all project and construction phases. You will create transparency regarding progress, risks, critical paths, and schedule deviations, and support project management with reliable analyses and control information.

The assignment is in a demanding infrastructure environment with extensive construction and execution phases, as well as a large number of different project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Operational schedule planning and control in complex infrastructure and mega-projects
• Creation, maintenance, and updating of integrated overall project schedules
• Development and further development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS)
• Analysis of critical paths and identification of schedule risks and bottlenecks
• Execution of target-actual comparisons, progress assessments, and trend analyses
• Development of scenarios and counter-measures for schedule deviations
• Creation of relevant project control KPIs and management reports
• Preparation of status reports for project management and stakeholders
• Coordination with project teams, specialist departments, contractors, and site managers
• Support of project control during all planning, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases

Requirements

• Successfully completed studies in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in schedule management of large infrastructure or EPC projects
• Sound experience in the creation and control of complex project schedules
• Very good knowledge of project and construction processes in mega-projects
• Practical experience with Primavera P6
• Practical experience with TILOS
• Experience in progress measurement, KPI control, and management reporting
• Structured, analytical, and independent way of working
• Willingness to travel for regular site visits
• Fluent German language skills
• Good English skills, spoken and written
