Project overview

For our client, we are looking for a Tester (m/f/d)

Our client, a public institution, is further developing a specialist application that supports business processes related to labor market funding in the legal areas SGB II, SGB III, and SGB IX (processing of services and financial benefits for employees, employers, and other providers). The implementation primarily involves legally mandated functional requirements, new releases and changes to funding programs, maintenance and bug fixing in production, adaptations for using SOA services from partner systems, and data migrations due to organizational changes.

Implementation is done using agile methods; work packages are discussed collectively and processed based on skills, partly in interdisciplinary collaboration with the specialist department and users. Support is sought in test design, test execution, test automation, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Testing the implementation of commissioned RFCs based on TLE and detailed functional specifications
• Creating error messages
• Retesting fixed errors
• Design, specification, execution, and documentation of software tests, considering the processes, methods, and tools established at the client's site
• Test automation: Planning, creation, and execution of automated tests
• Improving the performance and robustness of automated tests
• Further development and improvement of the application's own test system or its components
• Integration of new technologies into the application's own test system
• Planning and controlling the execution of system integration tests, test automation, and assigned test tasks
• Support and independent planning of sub-tasks, progress monitoring, and reporting for complex tasks
• Test case management and documentation
• Planning, creation, and execution of non-functional tests
• Knowledge transfer and documentation of analysis and development results to internal employees

Requirements

Very good German language skills, spoken and written (at least C1), are required.

• Experience with the test tools used by the client, currently especially Loadrunner Enterprise (LRE), Karate, Gatling, Artillery, Dynatrace, keyword-driven frameworks based on JUnit, Micro Focus Silk4J, test management tools (e.g., Micro Focus Silk Central Testmanager (SCTM) or comparable), SoapUI NG Pro / Ready API, JUnit, Selenium, Playwright
• Test analyses and evaluations with Time-Series Databases (InfluxDB + Grafana)
• Planning, setup, and maintenance of test data
• Defect management (e.g., JIRA) and configuration management (SVN, GIT, Bitbucket)
• Testing of WebServices (SOA / REST)
• Agile testing: Test approach, techniques, methods, and tools (e.g., ATDD)
• Agile practices (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, Clean Code Development, Pair Programming)
• Non-functional testing: Load and performance testing (L&P)
• For L&P: HTML5, Single Page Applications, JavaScript
• For L&P: Performance management in agile projects
• For L&P: Performance management for applications with container virtualization
• Existing extended security clearance (Ü2) or willingness to undergo it and submit it to the end client after being awarded the contract.
