Seeking an experienced Train Manager for exciting rail vehicle projects, focusing on technical deployment control, test preparation, and quality assurance. The role involves international project work and requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Project overview
For exciting projects in the field of rail vehicles, we are looking for an experienced expert for Train Manager. You will work independently on international projects and contribute significantly to quality assurance at the vehicle level.
Responsibilities
- Technical deployment control & test preparation
- Monitoring and preparation of test trains according to the specifications of the test engineers
- Ensuring the mechanical and electrical configuration of all vehicles
- Updating and implementing required software versions on the trains
- Planning & execution of validation tests
- Creation of test plans, selection of suitable test sites, and organization of logistics
- Technical support of the trains during internal and external test campaigns
- Interface to specialist departments and external test laboratories
- Operational Train Management – occasional special tasks
- Conversion measures (e.g., on the roof work platform of various trains)
- Printing and attaching pictograms (if noticed to be missing)
- HSSE compliance
- Ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations during test and conversion work
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in comparable projects in the rail vehicle sector
- Several years of practical experience in testing, commissioning, or production of trains
- In-depth understanding of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and their subsystems
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate internal and external stakeholders
- Fluent German and English skills; French skills are a plus
- Willingness for occasional deployment in roof or pit areas, as well as manual dexterity for conversion and assembly work
- occasional weekend work or night shifts possible
