Process Engineering / Ventilation Technology in Power Plant Construction

Project overview

For a demanding power plant project, we are seeking an experienced freelance engineer in the field of process engineering and industrial ventilation technology. The focus is on the planning, design, and technical coordination of ventilation and exhaust air systems, as well as their integration into existing or new power plant facilities.

Responsibilities

• Planning and design of industrial ventilation and exhaust air systems
• Calculation of air volume flows, pressure losses, and heat balances
• Technical specification of fans, filters, dampers, and heat exchangers
• Creation and review of technical specifications, data sheets, and calculation documents
• Processing and review of process flow diagrams and P&ID schematics
• Coordination of plant planning with piping construction, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and instrumentation and control technology
• Coordination with suppliers, designers, and project management
• Review of technical documentation and support during commissioning

• Completed degree in process engineering, mechanical engineering, energy and supply engineering, or a comparable technical qualification
• Several years of professional experience in the planning and design of industrial ventilation or exhaust air systems
• Ideally, experience in power plant construction, energy facilities, or industrial plant construction
• Good knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer
• Experience with technical calculations, specifications, and engineering documentation
• Confident use of relevant CAD and planning tools, such as AutoCAD or project-specific engineering systems
• Independent, structured way of working, as well as good communication skills
• Good German language skills and ideally English skills
• Experience with flue gas and exhaust air systems
• Knowledge of relevant technical regulations
• Experience with 3D plant planning and interface coordination
• Experience in renovation, modernization, or new construction projects of power plants
• Knowledge of safety assessments and commissioning processes
