Actuary for Solvency II Annual Financial Statements - Cologne

Project overview

We, emagine GmbH, are looking for an experienced actuary (m/f/d) for our Business Unit Insurance in the Reinsurance, Reserving and Valuation area for operational support with the Solvency II annual financial statements.

• Determination and analysis of insurance-technical positions according to Solvency II
• Operational calculation of Technical Provisions (present values / risk margins) for P&C
• Recommendation of decisions and communication of results to stakeholders, including management, auditors, and the group
• Completed studies in mathematics, business mathematics, statistics, data science, or insurance studies
• Many years of practical experience in SII annual financial statements, preferably in non-life insurance
• Sound knowledge of IFRS 17, Solvency II, and HGB, among others
• Experience in determining Technical Provisions under Solvency II in annual financial statements for P&C insurance
• Calculation of the present value as well as the risk margins of all expected future cash flows from insurance contracts
• Very good German and English, spoken and written
• Structured analysis of new claims information and well-founded conclusions for reserve and financial issues
• High quality awareness, even in time-critical closing and planning phases
• Confident demeanor towards internal and external contacts, team spirit, and desire for responsibility
