• Functional control and coordination of data migration and cut-over within the SAP S/4HANA transformation with a focus on Finance and commercial end-to-end processes. Development, maintenance, and tracking of migration and cut-over planning for the finance department in close coordination with the commercial departments and in implementation of the framework guidelines of the S/4 transformation project.
• Coordination of the functional design, prioritization, and quality assurance of commercial migration objects, especially master data (e.g., Business Partners, Assets, G/L Accounts, Internal Orders, Cost Centers, WBS Elements) as well as the transactional data required for the migration of opening balances (e.g., Open Items, Balances, Asset Balances) and other finance-relevant objects.
• Ensuring functional consistency and data quality between the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and commercial processes, especially R2R FI, R2R CO/P2S, P2P, I2A, and O2C, as well as relevant external systems, add-ons (OpenText, Serrala), and interfaces. Control of functional data cleansing, mapping rules, validations, and reconciliations to ensure data quality, consistency, auditability, and audit security before, during, and after test migrations.
• Preparation, support, and follow-up of test migrations, dry runs, and cut-over rehearsals, including error analysis, action tracking, reconciliation, and functional acceptance of migration results.
• Coordination of cut-over activities in the finance department, considering period closing, annual closing, operational posting stops, interfaces, authorizations, system availability, reporting, and functional go-live.
• Transparent management of migration and cut-over-relevant risks, dependencies, open items, escalations, and decisions in coordination with project management, process owners, DDL, IT, implementation partners, and affected departments.
• Creation and preparation of decision documents, status reports, management information, working documents, and acceptance documents for project committees, auditing, and departmental decisions.
• Support of knowledge transfer to departments, key users, and the project team regarding migration-relevant S/4HANA changes, new data structures, process dependencies, and cut-over requirements.

Your Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience in SAP S/4HANA transformation projects with a focus on Finance, particularly in data migration, cut-over, test migration, reconciliation, and go-live preparation. Very good knowledge of commercial end-to-end processes and their integration into SAP.
• Sound knowledge of the interrelationships between the general ledger, sub-ledgers, and adjacent modules or external systems, especially regarding posting logic, open items, balances, assets, orders, invoices, material ledger, and reporting.
• Sound knowledge of the central S/4HANA Finance structures and concepts, particularly Universal Journal/ACDOCA, Business Partner/CVI, new Asset Accounting, ledger technology, chart of accounts, profit centers, segments, cost centers, internal orders, and WBS elements. Demonstrable experience in defining, controlling, and quality assurance of migration objects, data mapping, cleansing rules, validation logic, functional acceptance, and audit trails.
• Experience in creating and managing cut-over plans with high functional and time commitment, including dependencies between migration, transport management, authorizations, interfaces, closing activities, and operational start-up. Proficient use of project management and documentation tools, ideally SAP Cloud ALM.
• Demonstrable experience in collaborating with internal departments, IT, external implementation partners, auditing, project committees, and management in complex transformation programs. Ability to structure complex functional, technical, and organizational issues, derive action options, prepare decisions, and consistently track their implementation.
• Strong structuring, organization, and coordination skills in a complex project environment with many dependencies.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to connect functional details with an overarching process and project perspective.
• High commitment, reliability, and results orientation, especially for critical paths, data quality, acceptances, and go-live-relevant activities.
• Strong communication skills at all levels – from operational project teams and process owners to management and decision-making bodies. Assertiveness combined with team orientation, pragmatism, and constructive solution orientation. Ability to make risks, conflicting goals, and dependencies transparent early on and to facilitate viable decisions. Hands-on mentality and willingness to combine operational detailed work with overarching control.
