3D Mechanical Designer

Project overview

Context

Within the French systems engineering department, the mechanical designer will be responsible for the 3D CAD design of equipment integrating electrotechnical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, electromechanical, and mechanical components.

They will produce detailed and assembly plans in compliance with design, manufacturing, and safety rules.

• Analyze the functional requirements of the product at various stages: design, manufacturing, integration, transport, installation, service, and maintenance.
• Identify standard and project-specific elements based on the client's specifications.
• Propose solutions adapted to technological evolutions, feedback, and obsolescence.
• Conduct detailed studies in 3D CAD.
• Define or adapt layout plans and interfaces, taking into account client site constraints.
• Optimize costs in the selection of mechanical solutions.
• Participate in the validation of the product definition with the industrialization and quality teams.
• Compile definition files: plans, bills of materials, and transfer to SAP if necessary.
• Support subcontractors on manufacturing plans and during manufacturing.
• Handle non-conformities and integrate manufacturing feedback.
• Monitor the production of interface parts or equipment at suppliers, from specification to reception and commissioning.
