Job description

The assignment is at the Service Centrum Inburgering (SCI). SCI implements parts of the Aliens Act for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. For this task, SCI develops and manages the Information System Inburgering. SCI involves a high degree of custom software development in ABAP (Objects), also utilizing DDD (Domain Driven Design). Due to the frequent use of SAP PO, knowledge of this is a pré. We are looking for someone who can think along with us about the modernization of the Information System Inburgering. Knowledge of Java is a pré.

Background of the assignment

Who are we (SCI and SAP cc):

Currently, several DevOps teams work for SCI: the Service Centrum Inburgering. The Service Centrum Inburgering of DUO performs central enforcement for alien integration, provides loans for alien integration if necessary, and organizes the alien integration exam for newcomers in the Netherlands and all related matters, such as issuing integration diplomas, online communication, and direct interaction with chain partners (municipality, IND, COA, ...).

We work from two closely collaborating DevOps teams for the backend of SCI, the Information System Inburgering (ISI). This concerns an SAP-based solution, the associated large user department, and the internal and external system connections. Besides us, two other DevOps teams are active with the online applications, with whom we also have active contact.

• EUS-EUC is divided into two teams: one team for the DUO organization and one team for the other departments within the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science (OCW). Both EUC teams consist of approximately 12 employees and each has a dedicated Service Owner and Scrum Master.
• EUS-MaC consists of 5 employees.
